BEAUTY | Review : THEFACESHOP Yehwadam Revitalizing Line

You must have noticed that I have been posting a lot of sneak preview of THE FACE SHOP YEHWADAM Revitalizing Line line since December 2016 and guess what, the wait is over as this skincare line is already available in store! :) Okay so before we talk more about what  YEHWADAM is, can we just please appreciate the luxurious and beautiful packaging? Oh man, the sweet peachy glass bottles really make any dressing tables beautiful. They are so pretty to look at! :D

Okay, let's dig deep into what's THE FACE SHOP YEHWADAM Revitalizing Line is all about. YEHWADAM stands for a unique meaning where YE means herbs and plants, HWA means flowers and DAM means story. Korean women has been using herbs and flowers in their skincare routine ages ago so with the new YEHWADAM, we can now experience the same result by incorporating herbs, plants and flowers in our skincare routine. This skincare line is targeted to 20s-30s ladies that are concern about anti-ageing and those who wants to take early action in fighting lines and wrinkles.

The 3 major ingredients in this range includes Korean Ginseng, Safflower and Goji Berry which works together to fight ageing skin, keep the skin youthful and revitalize the skin.

Korean Ginseng (originated from Gyeongbuk Province) is highly raved for it's healing properties, therefore it can help in rejuvenating the skin while keeping it youthful and radiant.

Safflower (originated from  Jiri Muntain) is known of it's medicinal properties that can help to improve skin tone and complexion, as well as anti-oxidant properties to fight anti-aging.

Goji Berry

Goji Berry (originated from Chungnam Province) is rich with anti-oxidant which can help in controlling skin cell ageing as well as maintaining skin radiance. It is also known that Goji Berry has anti-inflammatory properties which is helpful to soothe irritated skin.

There are 5 products in the THE FACE SHOP YEHWADAM Revitalizing Line and all of the products has the same scent, a subtle floral and herbal scent which is refreshing and inviting. It's not too strong and I personally feel think the scent makes the experience of using these products more luxurious. :D I have been using these products through out January, lets see how these products performed! And on the other note, I received one additional product, YEHWADAM Snow Lotus Brightening Pearl Capsule which I will also review in this post.

YEHWADAM Revitalizing Toner is an anti-aging toner that refreshes the skin while providing skin radiance after cleansing. Most toner will leave some kind of dry feeling on my skin but this toner does not do that due to the ultra moisturizing ingredients included. The toner replenish my skin moisture that has been lost and prepare it for the next product application, which is serum. The texture of this toner is translucent watery and can be used on a cotton pad. I like doing the swiping motion from my chin and moving my fingers upwards (gotta gently pull everything upwards! :D). It refreshes my skin without leaving any sticky or tingling sensation. It absorbs right into my skin as the moment I applied it on my skin.

The star product of this skincare line, YEHWADAM Revitalizing Serum is enriched with all the 3 major ingredients I mentioned above, plus with several ingredients to increase the effectiveness of this serum. It contains Ceramide which helps in replenishing and restoring what has been lost in the skin and brings it back to life. Lotus Flower extract has the ability to soothe irritated skin and rejuvenate the skin while providing anti-aging benefits. The last additional ingredients in this serum is Honeysuckle Flower extract which has cooling property that helps in removing skin redness and puffiness.

The texture of this beige-coloured serum is thick and glue-y (you can watch my instagram post here). It reminds me somehow to a stringy mozzarella cheese *HAHAHA* I use my fingers to apply this serum on my face and gently massage it upwards. Even though the texture is thick, this product sinks into the skin rather quickly and leaves a layer of film on the skin. It feels like the film is protecting the skin and helping other products for better absorption. The first thing I noticed after using this serum is the suppleness of my skin, it feels bouncier and smoother. I just love the texture on my skin because it gives me this cooling sensation that could help in soothing my mild sensitive skin.

YEHWADAM Revitalizing Serum is a good choice if you want to re-vitalize and re-energize your skin, but if you are in the look out for anti-wrinkle and brightening serum (double function),  YEHWADAM Snow Lotus Brightening Pearl Capsule is the one for you. It is a pearl cream that has glowing white pearls and rare snow lotus as it's main ingredients. It comes in a capsule form that resembles pearls which I find really interesting! I never own anything like this before and I was really excited to use this serum. Snow Lotus, known as 'The Emperor's Herb' is a rare traditional herb medicinal plant which is well-known for its brightening and anti-aging effects.

How beautiful are these pearls? I just love this kind of innovation, it's simply stunning and it makes me want to use this serum every single day! A good thing about making this serum into these capsules is that,  it minimizes air contact so the serum does not oxidize or gets contaminated easily. In a nutshell, it keeps the serum fresh! With additional ingredients such as collagen and pearls,  this serum can improve skin's elasticity for a firmer and youthful looking skin.

How to use these capsules cream? Simply take a pearl, gently press it on you palm to crush it. Then gently massage it into the skin! Do you know what this steps reminds me of? The good 'ol 'bedak sejuk' that my mom and my grandma use all the time! :D

Can you see the difference in this photo? This cream brightens up the skin immediately, I would say one or 2 tone up! At first it will look slightly fair, but as I massage it into my skin, the serum blends well into my skin and creates a brightening and glowing effect. Even though the texture is rich and thick, it does not leave greasy residue on the skin. It also even out my skin tone to make everything in sync. My take on this cream? It is a must try because of the formulation and the capsules resembling pearls is just what every girls need! The scent of this cream reminds me of baby powder in a way, but with Peach, Neroli and Rose, it surely smells better! :D

The next step after serum is  YEHWADAM Revitalizing Emulsion, a step to prep the skin before moisturizer. It is a revitalizing emulsion that gives nourishment to the skin and keeping it hydrated. This emulsion is lightweight and easily absorbed into the skin. I personally love using emulsion because of the fast absorbing aspect. Sometimes I only use serum and this emulsion when I'm in a rush! :D But don't do that to often girls, we need the full steps to achieve good skin!

Gently pat the product into the skin and let your skin absorbs the nutrients!

An eye cream product is also included in this line, the  YEHWADAM Revitalizing Eye Cream contains Ceramide that helps to minimize the appearance of fine lines and dark circles while providing enough moisture to smoothen out the eye area. I like the dense texture of the eye cream because creamy eye cream tends to be greasy under my eyes. But I think the product needs a little time to absorb, I need to gently massage the product in my eye area to make sure everything is soaked in. After a month of using this, I don't really see any changes on my fine lines but I do feel that this eye cream helps a little in brightening up my under eye. As I mentioned in any eye cream reviews, eye cream takes the longest time to see any drastic effects. I will continue using this and keep you guys updated. By the way, this jar of eye cream is so huge, I believe we can use this eye cream for the rest of our lives!

Use your ring finger and start pressure pointing from the outer corner of the eyes to the inner corner of the eyes. Repeat for eyelids as well. Then gently massage the eye cream until fully absorb.

The last product in this range is the  YEHWADAM Revitalizing Cream that replenish with the ultimate moisture and firm up the skin! The cream protect the skin by creating a moisture barrier that keeps the skin smooth and supple. Not to mentioned the perfect canvas as a base makeup. Not sure how to say this, but it's sort of creates a smooth texture on the skin. Even though the texture is thick, it is not greasy and oily but it will take some time to absorb. I can feel that the cream adheres to my skin and maintain its moisture through the protective layer.

There you go, phew!! A long blog post I must say! :D From my personal experience of using THE FACE SHOP YEHWADAM Revitalizing Line, I really think these products works hand in hand and will be beneficial to women in 20s and 30s who wants to start their anti-aging regimen. It works as a whole to firm and give a youthful glow to the skin. But if I have to choose, you girls need to try the  YEHWADAM Revitalizing Serum and  YEHWADAM Snow Lotus Brightening Pearl Capsule Cream because I personally think these two made a difference in my skin! :) These products available at selected stores and e-store

  4. What is the difference with the revitalize line and brightening line? I am using the revitalizing line that I got as a sample and love it. I recently discovered the brightening white line and want to know more about it. I did a lot of research on both line and none has said anything about what type of skin is targeted at. I have oily and acne prone skin. What would you recommend I should use. Your advice is greatly appreciated.
