Assalamualaikum and hello beauties. :) Have you had one of those days that you need a quick stress reliever, or a day of pampering but you have no idea where to go to? Or sometimes having too much choices will just confuse you and makes it harder to choose? I know that being a beauty junkie, I always search for reviews whenever I feel like going to massages, facial or manicure/pedicure because I want to have a good experience (well who doesn't?). When I first I found out about Beauty Guide, I have no idea what it's all about but when I started googling about it, hey I thought this is a pretty cool website to introduce to my fellow beauty junkies friends! Beauty Guide is Malaysia's first online salon, spa and wellness listings platform where it gives you options on the best value and luxury beauty, spa and wellness experience in Malaysia.
The Beauty section covers discussions on everything from hair, makeup, nail designs and any aesthetic needs. The Spa and Wellness section covers the latest and newest treatments, any possible types of massages, yoga and any wellness packages that you can imagine. The Skincare section gives out information on how to take care of the skin and such. The Features section highlights the key insights and interviews with veteran beauty socialites, celebrities and everyday women. Basically, Beauty Guide is one stop centre where you can search the best deal for your beauty and wellness needs!

So when I was selected to join Beauty Guide X The Butterfly Project "Beauty Day Out" of course I said yes because I would never let go the opportunity to have a pampering day! :D I actually was from Penang that morning. My husband and I left Penang at 5 a.m. and reached Bangsar exactly at 9 a.m. since the meet up time was at 9 a.m. Phewwwww! A big thanks to my hubby for being an awesome driver *hehehe* Anyway let's take a look at what went down that day!

Our first pit stop is at STRIP Bangsar where we got a waxing treatment there. We were given the choice of half arm waxing or underarm waxing. I chose the underarm waxing because I needed that *LOL*. The waxing only took about 10 minutes if I'm not mistaken. It was an easy and quick process. By the way, I actually already reviewed my experience of underarm waxing in STRIP at the Mid Valley outlet, so you guys can check the post HERE. :)

From Bangsar, we took UBER to head to our next destination in Sunway. Thanks UBER for picking us up and sending us to all location. I have never been on an UBER ride before. The cars are all in good condition. Felt like a 'datin' because of having a driver to go here and there. *hahaha* thank you UBER!

Next stop is Mandara Spa at Sunway Resort Hotel and Spa where we got our massaged fix! The place is so beautiful! The walkway from the hotel to the Mandara Spa is wonderful, a breath of fresh air. I would never thought we had that in KL to be honest.

Unfortunately, since I am pregnant I can't go for the normal massages they have. I thought they have pre-natal massages but sadly they don't. So I opted for a facial massage instead. For the list of Spa Menu, click HERE.
The room is very calming with the low lighting, a soothing music in the background and the right cool temperature. The facial massage took about one hour if I'm not mistaken. Oh my, it was so good to the extend that I actually fell asleep during the whole process. Did I snore? *hahahah* It was very relaxing and yes I needed that since I woke up at 3.30 a.m. that day because I needed to pack my stuff. Great experience!

And now it's the time for food! I was so hungry after the massage was done and all I can think of is food! We had a late lunch at WIP at Bangsar Shopping Centre. WIP (Whipped Into Place) uses the best and fresh ingredients for their food and it's creative and innovative menu will surely capture each and everyone taste palette. The food selection is wide enough that you can get anything from the western dishes to our own local delicacies. WIP specialty is their Espetada which originates from Portugal where skewers of meat and seafood grilled to perfection and served on the table on a special stand. Let's take a look at what they served for us that day!

Of all the dishes I've tried, I absolutely love the Beef Espetada. The meat is so juicy, it was perfectly marinated and perfectly grilled. IT's heaven in the mouth. I would like that again tahnk you very much! :) The Crispy Prawn is good too and the Bacalhau De Abras is unique and tasty as well, I can't stop eating. The XO Fried Rice is delicious as well but some said it's too salty but I think it's nicely seasoned. The Triple Trio Supreme is good too, I think I had 3 slices. *hahaha*. I am not a big fan of the desserts as the Rocky Road Brownie is just okay for me. And I did not eat the Tiramisu as it contains alcohol, so my Muslim friends, please take note on that. I was told by the organizer that the restaurant is Halal, so don't worry okay? If you are interested to check out the place, then pay them a visit at BSC!

The last stop of the day is Apronbay, where we did our pedicure. Apronbay offers many services such as body and face waxing, brow shaping and designs, threading, manicure and also pedicure. But as for today, we did express pedicure because of the time constraint. All the girls got their toenails painted but I just opted for buffing service as I don't want to remove the nail polish later by the day as I have to pray. The process was quick as I believed it took the pedicurist only about l0 minutes. My nail is still shining until now. *hahaha*
