PIXY
is a familiar brand to me as I did two reviews of their products before and one
of the reviews was PIXY Two Way Cake Perfect Fit. PIXY Two Way Cake Perfect is
my favorite drugstore two-way cake because it has good shades range, great
coverage, and love how affordable it is. And I always recommend this to my
friends if they are looking for a powder foundation. So when they came up with
a new range, PIXY Make It Glow Series, I sure don't want to miss it because I
know it's going to be good.
I attended
PIXY Make It Glow Series launch on 11th July 2019 at Colony Co-Working Space,
KL on 11th July and I finally got the opportunity to take a closer look at all
the products. There are 3 products inclusive in the range :
PIXY Make It Glow Beauty Skin Primer
To be
used before foundation to cover uneven skin tone, pigmentation and gives
glowing effect as well. This beauty primer has SPF35 & PA++ for protection
from UVA and UVB rays which comes in one shade, 101 Beige.
PIXY Make It Glow Dewy Cushion
A high
coverage cushion foundation with a lightweight feel that can last up to 10
hours. It has SPF23 & PA++ for sun
protection and creates a luminous effect on the skin. It comes in 3 shades 101
Light Beige, 201 Neutral Beige, and 301 Medium Beige.
PIXY Make It Glow Silky Powdery Cake
This
is a two-way cake that has light reflection technology formulation that gives a
healthy glow to the skin. It also contains SPF35 & PA++ to protect skin
from UVA and UVB harmful rays.

PIXY Make It Glow products contain ingredients that will enhance skin radiance, as well as providing full coverage and long-lasting makeup. For any makeup products that claim to have a glowing effect, it's crucial to have ingredients that have moisturizing benefits. In this range, PIXY includes Olive Oil, Jojoba and Yuzu extract as the moisturizing properties which help to nourish the skin from the inside. This range also uses Light Reflection Technology to cover skin's imperfections such as large pores, dark spots, and uneven skin tone. As for the powder, it uses smooth polished powder for the lightweight feel and to make it easier for the user to blend out the powder for a flawless finish.

PIXY Make It Glow Beauty Skin Primer | RM28.90
PIXY
Beauty Skin Primer is the first step in applying makeup. I always suggest
completing your skincare routine first before applying to makeup, especially
moisturizer and sunscreen. But if you happen to be in a rush and don't have the
time to do all that, you can straight away use this beauty primer as it has
moisturizing properties as well as SPF35 PA++. It comes in one shade (101
Beige) which has a tint of shade but it becomes translucent when blended out so
I guess it will work on any skin tone. It does even out my skin tone and gives
my skin a hint of glowing effect.
PIXY Make It Glow Dewy Cushion | RM54.90
PIXY
Make It Glow Dewy Cushion is a high coverage cushion foundation that covers
most of my pigmentation. Even though it is a dewy cushion foundation, I find it
to be more on the semi mattifying finish with glow effect. I also find that
this cushion foundation has pink undertones because I noticed there is a hint
of pink on my face after the application. I like how lightweight it feels on my
skin, not the same as the typical Korean cushion foundation.
PIXY Make It Glow Silky Powdery Cake | RM34.90
PIXY
Make It Glow Silky Powdery Cake is a two-way foundation that can be used dry or
wet (simply wet the sponge for extra coverage). I don't usually use powder
foundation, so I use this powder as my setting powder and also for touch-ups.
Personally prefer using a brush for a more flawless and natural finish. I like
this powder because of the silky smooth texture and it blends into my skin,
setting my makeup the way I want it to. But of course, don't forget to set your
makeup with a setting spray.

My
take on this whole range? Love it! It doesn't feel greasy on my skin, it lasts
long (I tested it maximum for 6 hours and it held on pretty strong), it covers
my large pores and it gives me a healthy glow. And the price point is amazing!
I love how these 3 works together as they work efficiently together to achieve
healthy and radiant skin.
