Bag of Love : May 2013 Edition - Best of Beauty

Assalamualaikum and hello everyone! :)

I feel like I haven't put up posts for so long! Last week had been so hectic, so busy. My body was aching here and there and I was such a mess! :'( But no worries, everything is good, I'm just tired that's all. But, something came into the mail last week and I was so happpppy!

Last month I was chosen to be a part of the 'unzipping' Bag of Love - April 2013 Edition. Mimi, the founder of Bag of Love was so sweet and decided to give the bloggers another bag (MAY Edition) fills with goodies. The theme for this month is 'Best of Beauty'. What comes to mind when I heard 'Best of Beauty' is that I would most probably get products that are known for the quality and very much loved by beauty lovers. So yeah I'm so excited! :)

This is the bag. This is so pretty, I will definitely to store my makeup when I'm travelling.

Details and information on the products as well as Mimi's appreciation card. I really think this is such a nice personal touch. :)

I love that she packed things that are liquid in a plastic AND bubble wrap. I heard some people had the products leaked and somewhat stained the bag and things like that (last month's bag). Kudos to Mimi for stepping it up and solve the problem! ;)

DOVE BEAUTY NOURISHING BODY WASH (Full Size - 200ml RM6.90)

This smells so good. It has a blend of moisturizers that will keep your skin hydrated and smooth at all time. I can't wait to try this. This is great for travelling.

CRABTREE & EVELYN SOMERSET MEADOW HAND THERAPY (Full Size, 25g, RM30)

I LOVE this! I am looking for hand lotion that is small enough to bring it with me anywhere. Besides of the lovely scent, it really does do the job as a wonderful moisturizer.

KERASTASE BAIN OLEO - RELAX SHAMPOO (30ml

Full Size , RM78 for 250ml

This is a smoothing shampoo that can tame dry and frizzy hair. I haven't tried any of Kerastase products, The scent is ok but I need to use this first to know if it works.

ELIZABETH ARDEN CERAMIDE CAPSULES DAILY YOUTH RESTORING SERUM (7 capsules)

Full Size , RM320 for 60 capsules

This serum will help you in reducing fine lines by replenishing skin's natural ceramides, moisturizing your skin to maintain the firmness, smoothness and suppleness. It is said to be your gateway to a younger looking skin. I thought we were getting a sample of the famous 8 -hour cream but this is wonderful too. As you know Elizabeth Arden is pricey, I would like to try it out first before splurging my money. 60 capsules equals to RM 320, 7 capsules equals to around RM37.33. Wohooooo!

Nway as I was checking out the the packaging, I saw the word 'OLD'. Is it supposed to mean anything? Is it a code or something? Or does it mean that the product is an old stock? I don't know, can anyone tell me?

These Calvin Klein's perfumes are definitely world famous! I used to own the Eternity a long long long time ago (I think when I was in secondary school). Yeah it reminds me those teenage days. hahaha :D This is a good sample for anyone who never try this perfume, Good size to throw in my bag. ;)

Basically these are the products that I received. :)

I also received complimentary vouchers from Calvin Klein, Amante and Crabtree and Evelyn. And 2 samples (2 Kerastase Smoothing Masks and Crabtree & Evelyn Lavender Body Lotion).

But I'm excited for this. Who wants to go wuth me?? Lets go together girls!! :)))

Why I love this bag :

1) Includes 2 full size items (Body wash and hand lotion)

2) Liquid products are wrapped in plastic and bubble wrap to prevent leakage.

3) I love the complimentary voucher from Amante.

4) All the products are well known brand therefore it does goes with the month's theme.

5) I love the bag, spacious and great for travelling.

What can Bag of Love do to improve :

- Makeup stuff! This is crucial. We need makeup products. Most beauty box only provides skincare, which is great but makeup product is definitely in my top list.

- Keep on giving at least 2 full size of items.

- Be different from any beauty box, avoid similarities with others.

Bag of Love : April 2013 - The Green Bag

Assalamualaikum and hello! :)

Remember last Saturday event in Delectable Treats by Su, Paradigm Mall? It was the 'Unzipping' of Bag of Love's April Edition. :) Keep on reading to know more about the products inside the little beauty bag and check out the photos as well.....

This month's theme is about nature and going green in conjunction of Earth month. The Green Bag consists of 6 items that are environmental friendly (how the product is made/animal-cruelty free/ how the product contributes to the environment). This is definitely and eco bag!

The bag itself is made of bleach-free canvas and it is the perfect size for your makeup bag. Yippee!

The goodies inside the beauty bag....

1) Definite Contour Brush (Full Size) - Worth RM88

This is a very soft brush and it is perfect for contour, blush and even highlight. I'm looking forward for a Definite's brush in next month's bag, hopefully. :)

2) Decleor Hydra Floral Moisturising Cream (15ml) - Worth RM271 for 50ml

I've heard of Decleor before but never tried any of the products/facial because they are expensive. I definitely need to try out their sample sizes to find out whether it is worth it to buy full size. This cream smells great, I will try this out and see how it goes.

3) Nuxe Brightening BB Cream SPF30 PA++ (15ml) - Worth RM120 for 30ml

Never heard of the brand but it's a BB Cream. yes I'm a BB cream junkie, I prefer BB Cream than any liquid foundation. Excited to try this out!

4) The Body Shop Quiet Night Dreamy Pillow & Body Mist (60ml )
-Worth RM39.90 for 60ml
- Worth RM59 for 100ml

It has a nice scent to it, very calming and relaxing. Spray onto your body or pillow for a good night sleep. I really need this because I've been having trouble to sleep lately. Let's see if it works, but I'm loving the scent so far!

5) Phytojoba Intense Hydration Brilliance Shampoo (50ml) - Worth RM88 for 200ml

I'm looking forward to try this shampoo as I have dry hair. I love it that it is a 50ml bottle.

6) Burt's Bees Richly Replenishing Cocoa & Cupuacu Butter Body Lotion (6.5g)

- Worth RM62.80 for 170ml)

24 hour protection? oh yeahhhh that's what I need.

Why I love this bag :

1) The items are well rounded :

Body care : Burt's Bees Body Lotion and The Body Shop Dreamy Pillow and Body Mist

Hair care : Phyto Intensive Shampoo

Make-up : Definite Brush and Nuxe BB Cream

Skincare : Decleor Moisturizing Cream

2) The beauty products are catered to general needs (makeup brush, lotions/moisturizing cream for dry skin)

3) Size :

- The makeup brush is full size

- The body mist and the shampoo are not your usual sample sizes. I have more than enough to try them out.

4) It comes with a beautiful bag. An addition to my makeup/toiletries bag collection. :D

5) 2 items that I absolutely need is included (the brush & the body mist)

What can Bag of Love do to improve :

- I would love to see beauty tools (anything related to beauty) in each month's bag.

- Keep on giving the subscribers good sizes of the products.

- Keep on providing the subscribers with well rounded items.

- It would be great if the products in the bag has no similarities with other beauty boxes.

I'm happy with the bag as it covers all aspects of beauty. I am satisfied with 3 items that came in with good sizes. I love the packaging of the other 3 sample sizes because they come in a presentable packaging rather than the typical packaging where you need peel of the corner and it can get messy.

The 'Unzipping' of Bag of Love Tea Party

Assalamualaikum and hello! :)

Did I tell you that I was one of the bloggers who gotten the opportunity to 'unbox' the Bag of Love? hehe I was so happy because my post qualified! :P You can read all about my post HERE !

The event was held yesterday at Delectable Treats by Su in Paradigm Mall from 11am - 1pm. I reached there around 10.50am, phew just in time. You know me, I like to be punctual and just hate the thought of having people to wait for me. Anywhooooooo... Can we just go to the photos please? :)
