Sexy Sunday Series # 11 | YSL Rouge Volupte # 8 and # 9
Assalamulaikum and hello love. Another Sunday, another Sexy Sunday Series. Today we are going to talk about high end lipsticks baby! The ever famous YSL lipsticks with the beautiful packaging, the YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks. I have been wanting it since last year but I have not been able to get my hands on them until earlier this month when I was waiting to board on flight to Bali. When I saw the YSL counter n KLIA, I knew I had to get one or (or two :P) of the Rouge Volupte. So yes, I did. I got the Travel Exclusive set which contains 2 lipsticks, #8 and #9.

The packaging is simply luxurious. Gold tube with YSL engraving in the middle. It feels heavy on my hands and yes it does feel like I'm holding an expensive lipstick. These lipsticks would look great in my lipsticks holder, stunning.
Rouge Volupte #8 (Fetish Pink) is a bright pink shade with more of a blue undertone. At some point it does look like a lilac/lavender shade. It can be a bit overwhelming if you are a 'nude kinda girl' like me but honestly I think this colour is stunning and would be great in one of those days when you are too lazy to do your entire face. Just put this on and you are ready to go.
Rouge Volupte #9 (Pink Caress) is mauve raspberry pink which is more subtle that #8. It looks rosy/mauve but it has raspberry pink undertone to it. This would be great for everyday use due to it's warm tone. This is the kind of shade that would look good in majority of skin tones.
My take on YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks? They are creamy and glides on easily on my lips. Very opaque and I can get a pigmented lips with only one swipe. It starts of as a glossy finish but after a few hours, it will create sort of a satin finish. It is moisturizing and I don't have to apply lip balm beforehand. Through out my usage, I found that it lasted about 3 - 4 hours (without drinking/eating). Re-application is needed as it wears of easily after eating and drinking. Oh the scent of this lipstick is just divine! It smells like juicy fruity berries, ahhh it's really nice. One of the best smelling lipstick I tried so far! The lipstick is retail at RM105 each, and the travel exclusive set is retail at RM196 (2 lipsticks). YSL cosmetics is available at KLIA. :)
I love the formulation of these lipsticks. Creamy, glossy and moisturizing. I would recommend this beautiful lipstick if you want to try out a luxury lipstick. I think it's worth every penny! :) I am so tempted to get more. :D Would you try these lipsticks out? If you have, what's your favourite shade? :)
