BEAUTY | Part I : Sculpting and Firming with Exilis

Assalamualaikum and hello.

Remember how I constantly talk about my body insecurities? I know pregnancy will leave with the extra weight but oh man, I would never thought that it will be so difficult to get rid of my excess weight. I was around 49/50kg when I found out I was pregnant. Through out my pregnancy, I gained 15kg in result I was 65kg. Scary, yes definitely.

Once I am done with my confinement, I actually lost 10kgs, many thanks to my mom for taking care of my diet. But as expected, I gain back 3kgs the moment I moved back to my own house and I am currently 58kg. *so sad* Well it's just not about the weight, but it's also about my body shape that has gone out of proportion. I still cannot wear any of my pre-pregnancy pants escpecially my jeans. I bought a few pairs already to fit my current size but I am depressed thinking about it.  What worries me is the shape of my body, *sigh* I just need my 'S' size back. T_T

I know some of my friends said I look fine but I know they were just being nice. I know I have to do something to get back into my size. So when I am offered to do the Exilis treatment by The Subang Jaya Fertility Clinic and OBGYN Women's Specialist, I immediately said yes because I need all the help I can get.

Exilis is a treatment for body shaping and skin tightening that uses both infrared light and mono polar RF (radio frequency) to deliver controlled high energy heat approximately 1-3 cm under the skin (to the dermal and subcutaneous layers). You can choose specific areas you want to tighten your skin and loose those stubborn fat. The areas you can use Exilis with is neck/jowls, arms, bra strap area, abdomen, male chest, thighs and knees. What is Radio Frequency? It is a form of energy that causes the skin to heat up and stimulate collagen and tighten skin. The mono polar RF in Exilis allows the waves to go deeper into the skin and able to dissolve the fat cells effectively while the infrared is used to tighten the skin.

Ideally, customers can see the result within one to two treatments but it is recommended to continue the treatment around 4 - 6 times for better result. Customers can also do up to 8 treatments to combat larger area. I remember going to the clinic every 10 days because I need to be consistent with the timing of the treatment. Exilis is FDA approved for non-invasive treatment and it is also comes with Dermal Temperature Control (DTC) for safety reason. DTC ensures patient's skin is unharmed during treatment and keeps track of skin's temperature. It allows the doctor to adjust the machine's temperature accordingly.

2 separate heads. Left is for the face while on the right side is for the body.

If you are interested to find out more about Exilis treatment, you can set an appointment with the doctor for free consultation to give you better understanding about the procedures. As far for the pain goes, it's not supposed to be painful but everybody has different pain tolerance. I will talk more about this part on my next post. I underwent 4 treatments targeting my abdomen area because that's the first thing I want to change. On my next post, I will talk about the process of the treatment, whether it's painful, the result and some tips on what you should do before treatment.

As far for the price of the treatment, per session is RM750. Therefore it really depends on how many treatments you need to do. So for the average treatment, it could be around RM3,000 to RM4,500 for 4 - 6 treatments. But exclusively for my readers, the fee for per session is RM500! Yes, you can save RM250 per session and that is a lot!  Just mention my name [SABRINA] and show them my blog post to get the promotional price. :D

I did my treatment with The Subang Jaya Fertility Clinic and OBGYN Women's Specialist located in Wisma Life Care in Bangsar South but they also have another clinic in Subang Jaya.  Will talk more about them on my part two post, stay tuned! :)
