[Beauty Review] : Makeup Revolution

Assalamualaikum and hello everyone! I feel like I have been missing a lot in my blogging world. To tell you truth, I have A LOT of pending blog posts and I have been itching to update my blog since last week. T_T So the first thing that I want to review is the products that I got from Makeup Revolution! Oh my gosh, I have been playing around with these makeup for quite some time and I could not wait to share my thought on them. This is gong to be a quick review and in the end I would show you girls a look that I created from these item. But before we jump into the review, lets get to know Makeup Revolution a little bit better. Makeup Revolution London was launched in March 2014 and since  it's appearance in the makeup industry, the brand has been the talk of the town because of the quality the products and also the price point. You would not believe how affordable they are (seriously I couldn't believe my eyes!). They have A LOT of makeup items that beauty junkies would love, there are so much to explore! I have 4 products in my hand, lets find out how I feel about them. :)

Price : RM32.00

One look at this palette and you know that this eyeshadow palette resembles to the 'famous palette' that has been in the beauty scene for so many years. Redemption Pallete Essential Shimmers consists of 12 shimmer shades that would be perfect for neutral lovers. Ranging from beige, to soft brown, champagne, yellow gold and rose gold, you are spoilt for choices. At first I was skeptical because of the shimmery shades but surprisingly they are more to a satin finish and whenever I apply them on my eyes, I do not experience much fallouts. The texture is smooth and buttery. They glide well on my eyelids and so easy to blend out. I would say the colours range is great because you can create a simple neutral eyes to a bold smoky eyes. The palette also comes with a dual-ended applicator but I don't use it as I prefer to use my own brush. The packaging of the palette is plastic therefore take a good care of it to prevent any cracks. I personally think this palette would be great for makeup beginners who want to try out using shimmers eyeshadows without hurting their bank account.

You might think that this is too pink to be a highlighter. But fret not, it's the right amount 'pinkness' on your cheeks and you won't look like a disco ball when using this highlighter. Since this is a highlighter, expect to experience fallouts, therefore make sure to tap the excess on your brush before applying on your cheeks. You will have  beautiful glowing effect on your cheeks by applying a small amount of the highlighter. You can also use the Vivid Baked Highlighter in Pink Highlights at the inner corner of your eyes to highlight as well as under your brow bone. You get a a lot of products in the pan, trust me you will never go out of it.

Ahhh, this one reminds me of Stila's. Been wanting to try one but hey this one is a good dupe for that. Half the price and the result is amazing. I need to show you girls how to use this so the review will be on a separate blogpost, so stay tuned ya! :)

"Keep Trying For You"
Price : RM24

Keep Trying For You is an orangey red shade liquid lipstick that has a matte finish. Once you apply it on your lips, the liquid will turn matte so you know this would be good for those who does not enjoy reapplying lipstick. The pigmentation is great, one swipe will give you the actual colour. Long- wearing is tip top too since the lipstick will adhere to your lips like glue. But it gets sticky when I tried to mum my lips together (the same feeling if you have tried MUFE Aqua Rouge). And it's pretty drying, I don't feel comfortable. When I tried to wipe it off, dry flakes started to come off. Since it is a matte finish lipstick and it is meant for long-lasting, you need to remove it with makeup remover. And I'm not really a fan of the scent because it is too chemically scented. I would give good rating on the pigmentation and long-wearing but not on the scent and the feel on my lips.

Check out the look that I created using Makeup Revolution Redemption Palette Essential Shimmers, Vivid Baked Highlighters in Pink Lights and Salvation Lip Lacquer in Keep Trying For You. Easy natural eye makeup with red lips and a bit of highlight on my cheeks.

I will create a look using the Awesome Metals Foil Finish in Rose Gold in my future post, so watch out for that! ^_^
