REVIEW | Tarte Cosmetics @ Sephora | BEAUTY

Assalamualaikum and hello love!

Today we are going to dive into Tarte Cosmetics, a brand that secretly has been in my 'to try list' for these couple of months. Let me tell you this, I am currently obsessed with the Tarteist Lip Paint and I already have 5 of them (3 full size and 2 mini sizes - kit). We are going to talk about 3 products from Tarte, including the lip paint. Let's get going! But before we start, if you are not familiar with Tarte Cosmetics, all of their products are formulated without parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, triclosan, sodium lauryl sulfate and gluten. These products are also dermatologist tested.

The first thing I got from is the Tarte Park Ave Princess Contour Palette. This contour palette comprises of 3 products with all being under the Amazonian Clay range, which is famous for it's ingredients that can make the product stay on longer.  I love the bronze packaging with gold lettering and the sizes of the products in the palette are pretty good. It comes with a huge mirror, which is always a good thing.

The left pan is the Amazonian Clay matte waterproof bronzer in Park Ave Princess, is a warm brown matte bronzer. On the right side is the duo, which includes Amazonian Clay 12-hour blush in Posh and Amazonian Clay Highlighter in Champagne Gold. Posh is a dusty pink blush while Champagne Gold is more towards cream with gold shimmer.

The texture of all of these products is soft and smooth however I do find the pigmentation is mediocre. But this would be a good thing if you want something natural and easy to use. Most importantly, if you don't like to spend your time correcting highly pigmented sculpting products if you over do them, this is perfect for you. They are easy to blend and the longevity is quite good too.  I personally love this palette because I can never go overboard with my contour and I can get a natural, everyday look effortlessly. Tarte Park Ave Princess Contour Palette is retailed at RM138 and can be purchase via Sephora

The second product that I have wanted to try out from Tarte is the Maracuja Creaseless Concealer. The concealer is infused with many skincare ingredients such as  Maracuja, Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Mineral pigments. I have been reading reviews that this would be good for under eye so that's what I used this concealer for.

As you can see the concealer comes in this tube which I find it is rather small and it feels very light. It does not have applicator which means you need to use your finger or brush to apply on your skin. I prefer concealer with doefoot applicator because it makes my life so much easier but hey this works too, no problem.

I got the shade Light that is the 3rd fairest. It is definitely fairer that my skin tone, it is more towards yellow undertone. I chose this shade because I want to use it to cover my dark circles and any other under eyes problems. The texture of this concealer is thick but it is still easy to blend. However, you need to blend the concealer quickly because it can dry up and set pretty fast so it is advisable to do each eye, blend, then do the other side. The coverage is amazing if you use a brush. It is definitely a high coverage concealer. It is hydrating and it feels slightly greasy if you do not set it with powder. I use my Chanel Translucent Loose Powder to set it and it turns out good. As you can see the photo below, the concealer creases and it goes in to my fine lines. I kinda wish that it doesn't  creases but I've tried so many concealers and I have found NONE that can do that. But I still like it as the coverage is wonderful and I will keep on using this concealer as it has skincare ingredients that can be beneficial towards my under eye conditions. Maracuja Creaseless Concealer is priced at RM105 on Sephora

Tarte Tarteist Lip Paint has 5 new shades called Naughty Nudes which comprises of neutrals and browns. This is a permanent collection so don't worry about them going off the rack soon. When I first saw the collection, I fell in love instantly and I know I want to collect all of them! :D I already have Rave and now I have Grunge in my collection.

Tarte Naughty Nudes Tarteist Lip Paint in Grunge is a chocolatey brown with purple undertone. It is so beautiful I just can't get enough! The texture is mousse-y like and it glides smoothly on the lips.  I love how lightweight it feels on my lips and the fact it is neither drying nor sticky gets bonus points from me. It doesn't dry as matte because it transfers when I eat or drink but the stain effect is wonderful and I've got nothing to complaint about it. The applicator is nice, easy to use and to be honest I don't even need to use lip liner. It settles (slightly) into the lines on my lips but the best part that this liquid lipstick does not dry up and crumbles. It has a mint scent to it which I enjoy very much. Tarte Naughty Nudes Tarteist Lip Paint is retailed at RM75 each on Sephora.

I created brown smoky eyes to match the dark lips and subtle contoured face. I love how the makeup turn out because I have been experimenting with dark lips lately. I quite enjoy the subtle eye look with dark lips, I think it's modern, chic and a little bit mysterious.

You can get all the Tarte Cosmetics products via online on Sephora, happy shopping! :)
