Hey Si Gadis Manis Malaysia

Whenever I go on holiday, the top things to do in my list is to buy souvenirs for my family and close friends. I would usually buy souvenirs for other people first, then I will shop for myself. But you know sometimes when you want to buy souvenirs for your loved ones, you are stuck and confuse and have no idea what to get them. The usual fridge magnets and keychain is old fashion and we really need to step it up. For example in Malaysia, if you need to buy a souvenir to represent Malaysia, where will you go to? I would say you most probably will go to Central Market, Kuala Lumpur because it is the hub for souvenirs. If you are looking for something different, then Gadis Manis Malaysia is the place for you.

Gadis Manis Malaysia is established in 2008 by a French lady named Florence Lambert Lee who has been living in Malaysia for the past 20 years. When I found out that Gadis Manis Malaysia is created by a French lady, I feel ashamed and proud at the same time. Who would've thought a non-Malaysian would appreciate our cultures and heritage more than us, Malaysian? We take things for granted just because we are born in the cultures and thinking that we don't have to do anything to preserve and cherish our heritage. But nevertheless, I am extremely proud that Florence has taken the initiatives to use Malaysian's cultures as her inspiration to create amazing designs in her work.

All of Gadis Manis Malaysia products are made in Malaysia from the designs, production and the final products. When we asked Florence why the name Gadis Manis, and she said Gadis Manis Malaysia refers to the Malaysian ladies in Malaysia. To make it sweeter, she included 3 real life ladies in her designs to represent the 3 major races in Malaysia which is Malay, Chinese and Indian. These 3 ladies, Yati, Ah Chik and Gowry are all important people she has met along her stay in Malaysia. Gadis Manis Malaysia products are unique because all of the products are combination from of traditional and modern Malaysian crafts. Crafted by established experts, Gadis Manis Malaysia products are inspired from anything Malaysian, from its costumes, festivals, architecture, food and so much more.

Gadis Manis Malaysia offers a range of unique design gifts and souvenirs such as apparels, bags, scarves and shawls and also accessories.Lets take a look at the available products at the retail store.

The small details on the buttons is simply adorable. These are the 3 ladies I mentioned at the beginning.

There was a lucky draw that day and I guess it was my lucky day! I won the pendant with chain. :) It is the Ah Chik pendant in pink and I absolutely love it. But I'm going to attached that gula-gula charm at my charm bracelet. ^_^ I would like to say a big thanks to Florence and also to Debbie, Melanie and Samantha for having me at the bloggers gathering. I had a wonderful day getting to know the products and getting to all of you as well. Good luck in future projects! ^_^

Till then,

xoxo,
