[Beauty Review] : Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Makeup in 220 Nude

Assalamualaikum and hello lovelies!

Today I am reviewing Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Makeup which has been in my wish list for quite sometime. I wanted to try it out because I want to know the difference between the whipped version and the original version. If you want to know how I feel about this foundation, keep on reading dearies. ^_^

REVLON COLORSTAY WHIPPED CREME MAKEUP

  PACKAGING
Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Makeup comes in a glass jar and weigh 23.7 ml. The glass jar is pretty heavy and that is a draw back because I know I won't be taking this foundation with me if I have to travel. Furthermore, if you really look closely, the product is actually about half the size of the glass jar. So I don't really understand why the glass jar needs to be bigger. If the glass jar is smaller, the weight will be lesser. But it does feel nice to have this sort of packaging, it feels luxurious. However, hygiene is a concern  because the foundation does not come with a spatula therefore you have to use your finger to get to the product.

I got the shade in 220 Nude which is the right shade for my skin.

To prevent the product from spilling, there's a plastic lid cover that separates the foundation from the cap. It is less messy.

  APPLICATION
I have tried using it with a beauty blender, Sigma F80 Flat Kabuki Brush and my fingers, and my best pick would be using my fingers. It blends really well and I guess the warmth of my fingers make the foundation flawless. It sets pretty fast on the skin so I would recommend to do half part of the face and blend. Then continue with another side of the face.

  TEXTURE
Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Makeup texture is thick and it has this mousse-like texture. Even though it is thicker than the usual liquid foundation, it blends well and gives flawless finish to the skin. I do not feel any greasiness or stickiness after applying the foundation.  It does not feel heavy on the skin.

  COVERAGE
Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Makeup is a medium to high coverage. I usually apply one layer only because I don't feel like putting on too many layers of make up on my skin. However, second layer of this foundation does not leave me cakey and powdery.

  LONGEVITY
Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Makeup stays on my skin really well. It lasted up to 8 hours, same as the original Revlon Colorstay foundation. It still look good at the 7th to 8th hour. But I always set my foundation with powder and facial mist, I think that helps too.

  PRICE
RM69.90

  AVAILABILITY
All participating pharmacies selling Revlon products (Guardian, Watsons)

I personally love this foundation! It gives me the same effect as my beloved (original version) Revlon Colorstay in 200 Nude. The longevity, the final finish and the coverage is the same. The only difference is the texture between both of these foundation where the original Revlon Colorstay is obviously a liquid foundation. If you want to see the difference between both of this foundation, check out the photos below!

As you can see in the photo, even though the shade name is the same, the original Revlon Colorstay (left) is fairer than Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Makeup. Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Makeup is a bit darker with yellow undertone.

I honestly think they look the same, not much difference after blending them into my skin.

Lets see how it fares on my face. ^_^

Bare face. -____-

This is how I usually apply my foundation or BB/CC Creams. Dot the foundation half of my face.

The right side of my face looked more even and the foundation covers my redness on my forehead pretty well.

I used the original version of Revlon Colorstay on my left side and the outcome is pretty much the same on both side of my face.

I did a second layer of Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Makeup. As you can see in the photo above, a second layer gives more coverage and hides my acne scars very well. It does not look cakey too.

What do you guys think? Do you think you will try out this foundation? I absolutely love it! It gives me the coverage I want, the longevity is awesome and the shade matches me perfectly. If you already have the original version of the Revlon Colorstay maybe you don't need this as they are almost the same except for the texture of the foundation. But of course if you want to try out the Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Makeup, that's not a problem. ;) I would highly recommend this foundation if you are looking for a full coverage foundation that has natural finish and does not leave you cakey and powdery! ^_^ Thank you so much Revlon Malaysia for sending me this foundation, I'm a happy girl!
