[Beauty Review] : NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer

One of my favourite makeup items besides lip products is makeup base such as foundation, BB or CC Cream. I always believe that having the perfect makeup base will determine how good your skin will look. It depends whether you want a light or medium coverage, dewy or a matte finish. I personally change up my foundation routine depending how I feel and where I am going. There are days I just want a minimal makeup look and of course there are days I want to look extra glam with full on make up. When I first started wearing make up, I am always a BB Cream kinda girl but now I am loving all kinds of makeup base. I am always up to trying out new products, so I am going to review 2 products from NARS, the Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer in Groenland and Powder Foundation in Fiji. But today, I'll be reviewing the Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer, the powder foundation will be in the second part of my post. :)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer in Groenland

NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 30/PA ++ is a tinted moisturizer that claims to give a naturally glowing finish to your face. It is a complexion perfecting fluid with anti-aging and skin brightening benefits. Sun protection is very important therefore the SPF 30 will protect the skin from UVB rays and PA++ as well as UVA damage. It is available in 11 shades.

Natural Polysaccarides  that hydrate, condition and help encourage natural cell renewal.

Oceana Saffron
A plant known as anti-oxidant and soothing properties.

Red deep sea algae that is rich with calcium, Vitamin A and E and Beta Carotene.

Sea  Water & Ascorbyl Glucoside
A vitamin C derivative that brightens and protects the skin  against free radical damage, revitalize and re-mineralize the skin.

The tube is pretty straight forward, the usual packaging for tinted moisturizer or BB or CC Cream.

My shade is Groenland which has a yellow undertone to it. At first I thought this would be too yellow for my skin but surprisingly it blends well into my skin. The texture of the tinted moisturizer is at the right consistency, neither too runny nor too thick. It is so easy to blend and it sets on the skin nicely. This tinted moisturizer has a citrusy and floral scent to it which derives from Peony, Violet and Rose Water. Okay so I am not really sure how Peony and Violet supposed to smell but honestly my nose picked out a citrusy scent.

I have been testing out NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 30/PA ++ for for about 2 to 3 weeks now and I can conclude a couple of things. This is a lightweight formulation that is buildable. I thought this is going to be a sheer coverage but you can actually layer it up for extra coverage. I would say that it is a light to medium coverage. It is kinda sticky when I first apply it on my skin and I have a wait about a minute to let it sink into my skin. But honestly, I love the radiant effect on my skin after using this. My face has this healthy glow and it brightens up my complexion. As for longevity, if I use it on its own, it would only last me about 3 - 4 hours before my face looks greasy. That is why the next product I'm going to review is the perfect combination to the tinted moisturizer, which will be in my next beauty review post. So stay tuned for that. :)
