Recipe : Baked Chicken

Hey ho! I'm back with a new recipe to kick start my healthy eating. As usual, my recipes is always easy and simple to do, and of course you can change it however you want it. So come on, lets get cooking! ;)

Chicken breast (butterfly cut and pound thinly)
Basil powder
Oregano powder
Ground black pepper
1 lime

*The quantity of chicken and seasoning is totally up to your preference and the portion you are cooking with.

1. Sprinkle all the spices and salt all over the chicken. Squeeze the lime to get the juice.

2.  You need to marinate the chicken for at least 1 hour. I would suggest 2 or 3. Make sure keep the chicken in the fridge.

3. After finish marinating, preheat the oven at 220 degrees celcius.

4. Get a wire rack and put on some oil to prevent the chicken from sticking to the wire rack.

5. Then get a bigger baking tray and put it under the wire rack so that any juices from the chicken will drop on the baking tray/pan.

6. Arrange the chicken on the wire rack and bake for 25minutes (or depends on the thickness of the chicken).  At 20 minutes, flip over the chicken.

7. Enjoy!

You might think this is such a big piece of chicken but this is actually 3 very small pieces, thinly cut.

You can serve the baked chicken with :

On it's own with veggies, potatoes and your favourite sauce.

Make a sandwich with lettuce, tomato and cheese.

Shred the chicken and toss in your salad.

Shred the chicken to make chicken pot pie.

Basically you can use this recipe for any chicken dish you want because it is so versatile and simple! Tag me on instagram if you have tried the recipe! ^_^

Till then,
