[Beauty Review] : Benefit Cosmetics - The POREfessional Pro Balm and The POREfessional Agent Zero Shine

Assalamualaikum and hello dearies!

Do you have large pores problem? I've been having large pores problem since forever and I just have to deal with it. I tried so many skincare products to reduce the appearance of large pores but none of them really works. Do you have any recommendations? Please leave a comment if you know any skin care products that could help this problem. -_-

Anyway, skincare products are not helping me in that department, so I figured, maybe makeup products can help me to hide those unwanted large pores. Benefit Cosmetics came up with The POREfessional Pro Balm, a primer that helps to minimize the appearance of pores. I heard so many good things about this primer and I am excited to share with you my opinion on the primer. This coming February, Benefit Cosmetics is also coming up with another product named The POREfessional Agent Zero Shine that acts as shine-vanishing powder. Both of these products do compliment each other, hence I am reviewing both of the products together. Curious to find out whether they are worth buying? Well keep on reading dearies! ;)

The POREfessional Pro Balm

The POREfessional Pro Balm is one of the best sellers of Benefit Cosmetics products. It is highly raved and everybody seems to love it as a face primer. Face primer is a product where you need to apply before your foundation that will act as your makeup base to smoothen out the surface of your skin. The POREfessional Pro Balm is promised to minimize the appearance of pores and fine lines and to help makeup stay on longer. The instruction says that you can actually use this for touch ups, but I am not so sure about that. The packaging is simple with the usual lotion type packaging that you see most of the time.

The texture is thick, silky and smooth. The moment I warm it by massaging, it immediately absorbs into my skin and leaves this wonderful silky and smooth finish. It is definitely lightweight and oil-free too. Even though the thick paste is in orange, creamy shade, it is actually translucent and does not leave any tint on my skin. It has a mild fragrance scent to it which reminds me of  a body lotion I owned.

I have tried using The POREfessional Pro Balm  for several times and I like it a lot. It does not diminish my large pores but it definitely reduce the appearance of large pores. I tried using it with powder foundation and the result was not that great. But I really love it with liquid foundation. It really does make a difference! I tried using it with my Revlon Colorstay and Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation and both of the result is wonderful. My skin looks flawless and smooth, me likey! It does help in maintaining my makeup for a long time. I do not apply The POREfessional Pro Balm all over my face but only on my cheeks and my T-zone. I only use The POREfessional Pro Balm whenever I want to have flawless skin and I want to look extra good. I do not use this on a daily basis because I don't want to clog my pores. Always remember to remove your makeup before going to bed because certainly you don't want any skin problems later right? I have quite sensitive skin, thank god The POREfessional Pro Balm does not make my face red, itchy or break out!

The POREfessional Agent Zero Shine

The all new The POREfessional Agent Zero Shine is here to help you to combat shine and helps to smooth the look of pores. It is a shine-vanishing PRO powder that keeps your skin matte and pore perfecting so you won't be having oily face girlfriend! Is it too good to be true? Lets talk about the packaging first. As you can see in the photos, it is quite different from what I have seen before. The packaging is made out of plastic that is durable.

 Unscrew the cap

Twist to open to get the powder out of the case.

There's a small kabuki brush at the bottom of the packaging. Twist to release the brush.

The brush is soft and yes it is small. You do need some time to powder your whole face with this brush. hehe

To use, tap out the powder onto the cap.

The texture is the same as loose powder available in the market but The POREfessional Agent Zero Shine particles is more silky and smooth. The shade of the powder is exactly like the usual loose powder shade you could find out there but when you apply it to your skin, it matches perfectly. I guess this is the kind of product that goes with every skin colour. It is easy to blend and I feel that it gives sort of the same finish as The POREfessional Pro Balm.  Scent wise, I don't think it has any scent to it which is a big thumbs up for me because I am not a fan of scented products.

I did a little test on my face.... but beware......

WARNING!

WARNING!

WARNING!

I have extremely large pores, so don't freak out when you see this photo. okay? -_-

You can definitely see the difference here and the powder evens out my skin tone and minimizes the appearance of my large pores.

So what do I think about The POREfessional Agent Zero Shine? It gives my skin invisible finish, mattifies my skin and helps to smooth the appearance of my large pores.  Even though I have dry/combination skin, the powder still works great on me. The powder does not make me look cakey or make me look like I have too much makeup on my face. Would I use on its own? No I won't, I most definitely will use this as my setting powder and for touch ups. So yes, I like it very much! The fact that the packaging is so cute and so creative makes me love it even more! I would want to bring this awesome powder everywhere I go. Do I think it's worth to spend money on? Yes it is!

I told you earlier that both of these products compliment each other. Wanna do a little test on my large pores? @_@
